'Read to Self' in class discussion.
Today a group of students discussed their own personal reading in class. We talked about what their job was and what they wanted the teacher to do.

WIT- Wildly Important Task
Today our Hub started their first WIT for the year. WIT stands or Wildly Important Task. We use a learning model called Te Ara Tika to help us complete the task.
This WIT is an art WIT where our learners will have to learn about an art style, practice the skills involved and then create an artwork about something they are passionate about or interested in. We are looking forward to seeing a whole Hub full of different artworks, each special and unique to the artist. This is just how artists in the real world work!
